Hand-Embroidered Trading Cards

Lauren is an American artist specializing in needlepoint. She has many years of experience in cross stitch, embroidery, and needlepoint designs. Currently, she is working on hand-embroidering trading cards of little to no monetary value, and converting them into one-of-one pieces of art. Combining the traditionally female driven art of needlepoint with the majority male driven activity of card collecting, Lauren explores the dynamics in and around the card collecting and sports communities. Her work was shown at the 2023 Intersect Palm Springs Art Fair in the “Art But Make It Sports” by LJ Rader exhibit. Since January 2024, she has been a writer for Hobby News Daily and in September 2024 she began writing for Collectibles on SI.
